Fees
The whole fee for an Annual or Full Measurement is payable by the owner online BEFORE the Measurement is carried out. The JMB pays the Official Measurer for their services out of this fee.
Fees – for an Annual or Full Measurement
The 2024 Fee is £100.00.
Owners may be charged a half fee for missed appointments unless 24 hours’ notice is given to the Official Measurer by Phone or Email and a full fee if, for any reason, except the fault of the Official Measurer, a Measurement is abandoned or postponed or a microchip, where required, cannot be inserted at the time of Measurement.
Refunds will not be made after the 31st December in the year of payment.
From 2025 the fee structure will be as follows:
The measurement application fee for the FIRST measurement will be £105 plus a £20 JMB registration/ admin fee therefore the fee will total £125.
For any other measurements the measurement application fees will be £105.
Fees – for Re-Measurements
Objection to a Measurement. The 2024 fee will be £1,500.00 payable by bank transfer. The objector will receive £750.00 back if the new height entry on the JMB register alters the animal’s relevant classification.
Postponement of a Re-Measurement: £100.00 minimum payable by bank transfer. Owners may be charged this for missed appointments unless 24 hours’ notice is given to the Official Measurer by Phone or Email, for any reason, except the fault of the Official Measurer, a Measurement is abandoned or postponed or a microchip, where required, cannot be inserted at the time of Measurement.
